Telekom Romania saw a 9% year-on-year fall in its revenues in Q4 2018.

The latest set of results published by its parent company OTE show that they amounted to €242.2 million, down from €266.3 million a year earlier.

Meanwhile, its TV subscriber total fell by 1.9% to 1,143,303, a factor OTE says was solely down to losses in DTH, with there being a shift to new generation technologies, already accounting for 40% of the base and up by around 70,000 subscribers.

There was also an increase in the number of customers using premium TV content/sports packages.

Meanwhile, in OTE’s home market Greece revenues in Q4 2018 amounted to €736.4 million, or 1.9% more than a year earlier, and the number of TV subscribers grew by 3.3% to 541,907.

OTE Group’s total revenues amounted to €973 million (-1.1%), with adjusted EBITDA being €325.2 million (-2.6%) and adjusted profit €53.1 million (+28.3%).
