In Poland, Orange TV gained 100,000 subscribers in the year to March 31, ending Q1 with a total of 875,000. Its fibre network, available in almost 100 cities, had 250,000 customers at the end of March, or twice as many as a year earlier, gaining 34,000 in Q1.
Convergence was a strong driver, with almost 1.4 million customers, or 47% more than a year earlier, opting for on average four services.
In Romania, on the other hand, Orange Home TV ended Q1 with 418,000 customers, or 22% more than a year earlier. In Q1, 95,000 customers chose the company’s fixed-mobile services, or nearly six times more than a year earlier.
On the financial front, in Poland Orange had stable EBITDA in Q1, though its revenues, at PLN2,766 million (€570 million), were 1.8% down on 12 months earlier.
In Romania, it had a turnover of €270 million in Q1, up 11% on the previous year.
