KPN loses broadband and TV customers

200

Dutch incumbent telecoms operator KPN lost 8,000 broadband customers and 5,000 TV homes during the first quarter of the year, according to the company’s Q1 results.

KPN added 10,000 IPTV customers to its Interactive TV service, but lost round 15,000 of its ‘other’ TV customs, which include the DTT platform Digitenne and fibre customers. However, ARPU per household increased 3.5% y-on-y in Q1 2018.

Residential revenues grew 2.1% y-on-y, supported by a higher ARPU per household and more households taking bundled propositions compared to the same period last year.

The total TV customer base was 2.374 K on March 31, 2018.
