Tobias Solorz has resigned from the position of president of the management board of Cyfrowy Polsat, effective March 31, 2019.

At the same time, the company’s supervisory board has approved the appointment of Miroslaw Blaszczyk, the current president of the management board of Telewizja Polsat, as president of the management board of Cyfrowy Polsat, effective April 1, 2019.

It has also appointed Maciej Stec, an existing member of the management board of Cyfrowy Polsat, to the position of VP of the management board, effective April 1, 2019.

Local industry sources note that the changes are part of an overall strategy by Zygmunt Solorz-Zak, the founder and majority owner of Polsat, to jointly oversee the group with his two sons Tobias Solorz and Piotr Zak, while leaving the management of the companies in the group to reliable senior level executives that have been with Polsat for many years.
