It also had 3.8 million households connectable with fibre at the end of June, adding 252,000 in the second quarter.

In his comments on the results, Orange Polska CEO Jean-François Fallacher said that Q2 was particularly important for the company and the Polish telecom market. “Pursuing our ‘more for more’ value strategy, we have revised our prices for the majority of services for mass-market customers. We were the first on the market to make these price changes”.

Meanwhile, in Romania Orange ended Q2 with 10,736,000 customers receiving its mobile, fixed and TV services, or 2% more than a year earlier.

Orange Home’s TV service had 528,000 customers, or 18% more than in 2018, while 317,700 customers, or 35% more than a year earlier, opted for fixed broadband.

However, Orange Romania’s turnover in Q2 was, at €268.5 million, 2.4% lower than a year earlier.
