The two parties are currently engaged in exclusive negotiations.
TF1 said in a statement: “While the distance selling business is undergoing profound changes, the TF1 Group has decided to focus on the broadcasting of teleshopping programmes on its channels and plans to sell the operational activity (product sourcing, marketing, TV production, etc.) to Jérôme Dillard, its former CEO, an independent entrepreneur and a recognised specialist in teleshopping, consumer products, specialised distribution and customer relations, with whom TF1 has entered into exclusive negotiations.”
Jérôme Dillard is a consultant for companies specialising in customer relations and digital technology in France and abroad, with more than 13 years’ experience at the head of the two main players in France (Home Shopping Service within the M6 Group from 2000 to 2007, then Teleshopping within the TF1 Group from 2010 to 2016).
He submitted an offer to take over the operational activity and drive its future developments. Jérôme Dillard has undertaken to take over all the teams.
For its part, the TF1 Group has undertaken to continue broadcasting teleshopping programmes on its channels over the next five years.
The proposed transaction will, in accordance with the legislation, be submitted to the relevant employee representative bodies for review.
